Trips

During a full day trip you can expect to be out on the water for 8+ hours.  These trips usually will target a number of different species. Species that may be targeted are spadefish, spanish mackerel, flounder, cobia and red drum. This trip can accomodate up to 6 anglers.

Half day trips are usually around 4-5 hours in length.  During these trips we may target different species but given the time limit the trip may only target one species, the captain will work with you on which species you want to target. We can accommodate up to 6 anglers.

These trips we will be traveling offshore to different wrecks and the windmills targeting sea bass, flounder, trigger fish and possibly mahi. These trips will be between 8-10 hours for 5 anglers.  Fish cleaning is available at the dock for an additional fee.  We will also start a walk-on list for these trips if you can not find a full crew. These trips will be offered in the fall and be ran on the privateer or the judge.  We have some great fishing right in our back yard on the Elizabeth River.  We will target speckled trout, puppy drum and striped bass in the fall. The trip will be around 4-5 hours and can accommodate 4 anglers.

Throughout the year we will offer Kids Camps. These trips will accommodate 5 kids each day.  While we will do plenty of fishing the day will also include water and boating safety, rigging, baiting and typing knots, navigation and how to operate a boat.  Dates will be released for the summer of 2026 soon.  Price is $175 per kid plus mates tip.  

During December and January we will offer trophy Striped Bass trips.  These fish migrate up the eastern shore during these months and is a great opportunity to catch a trophy.  These trips will be catch and release.  The trip will be for 5 anglers.  Dates will be posted close to December depending on when the fish show up.  Call or text Captain Tripp if you are interested in a trip. 757-650-3718

Who's ready for a fun night out on the river? We have a number of restaurants that we can cruise and you can eat your dinner on the boat at our table. These are great for family outings or date nights. Contact us for the options of restaurants and times.

Our mates work hard for us.  It is custom to tip the mate 20-30%.  The mate is always the first one to the boat and the last one to leave after a long day of fishing. If you are planning to fish with us please take care of the mate!
